Our current Minister, the Revd Sue Shortman, appointed in November 2023 and joining us in September 2024, following the Revd Dr Andy Lyons who was instrumental in the creation of this new building in which we worship. Sue was ordained in 2016 and comes to us from Birmingham where she served for five years in and around the city. Originally from Manchester, Sue has lived and worked in the South of England for many years.

“I am excited to be leading this community at such a pivotal time in its ministry and as the community inhabits its new name ‘Lambeth Walk Methodist Church’ formally ‘Lambeth Mission and St Mary’s, as well as a new building! As we begin to explore mission and ministry in Lambeth Walk and beyond my prayer is that we will become a space where all connections are made, love is shown, and needs are met. I am looking forward to serving this church and the community in which it is placed"
